Jason Nutt and Highway 70 is a Texas Country band out of Lubbock, TX. The music made is hard to be rivaled by other bands, as it is unique and original. Upon release of their debut album ‘N. Clinton Ave.’ many stations picked up their single ‘ Blame It On Me’. From old country to rock and blues it is easy to see the influences through their music and the high-energy show that they present. Jason Nutt and Highway 70 will keep the dance floor full and the stage crowded with their upbeat catchy style.
Long time singer songwriter Jason Nutt formed many bands before putting together Highway 70. With the help of long time friend and fiddle player Tanner Evans, they found Dub Wood to secure the bass. A new drummer was needed so Jason called his cousin Tyler Richardson from the Fort Worth area to fill the spot. After fill in lead guitar players from week to week, they stumbled across Clint Chapman. Immediately it was apparent that they had found the missing link. Before long a CD was already in progress. Having all come from different musical backgrounds, ideas poured in and shaped their sound.

Playing anywhere and everywhere that would have them, Jason Nutt and Highway 70 began to build a fan base. This led to opening for many Regional and National acts all across the state of Texas. The Blue Light in Lubbock Texas has become a home to these guys. This has caused their fan base to explode in Lubbock. As they began reaching out across the state to build a more broad fan base, they began opening for countless Texas Country artists, and even Jonathan Tyler and the Northern Lights, A national rock act on Atlantic records. Their album released in January 2010 and sold like crazy. Sales have only increased since then. Hitting the road and winning fans everywhere, this band is full of momentum.
